Mara working on a rug. Some works go to a table, others on the floor. Ms. Margaret spent a long time telling the children how to choose a rug, unroll it, and roll it back. Mara is working with graduated cylinders here. All the Montessori works are self correcting--which means Mara will know right away if she chose the wrong opening for the cylinder.
