Free literacy program gets few takers in first few weeks
It's not just for people who can't read at all, resource teacher says

Improving literacy among adults in the community could also help students, Kessler said.
"If parents, aunts and uncles are literate and reading to children, they will be better when they get to us," she said. "It will make a difference."
